Fiji U23 soccer team lose to Singapore

The Vodafone Fiji U23 soccer team were beaten 2-0 in their first friendly match by the Singapore Olympic side.

The side trailed 1-0 at the break.

Players like Kishan Sami, Scott Wara, Savenaca Baledrokadroka, Ivan Kumar, Jeshal Kumar, Bruce Hughes and Patrick Joseph started the match.

They will now play their second match against the same opposition at 11pm on Monday.

The Olympic qualifiers will be held in Fiji from the 21st of this month to the 5th of October and Fiji will play Tonga in their first match on the 22nd of September at 3pm at Churchill Park.

The winner of the tournament will qualify for the Japan Olympics next year.
