The Fiji Legends thumped the Classic Wallabies 55-14 at Ratu Cakobau Park this afternoon in a curtain raiser to the National Rugby Championship match between Fiji Airways Drua and Melbourne Rising.

The Fiji Legends scored a total of nine tries in the match.

Neumi Nanuku crossed the try line three times while William Ryder, Lemeki Duidomo and Sireli Naqelevuki got two tries each.

Fiji just had too much talent and pace and Ryder and Nanuku outpaced the Australians a number of times.

The Classic Wallabies committed basic errors and gave away possession easily.

35-year-old William Ryder controlled the game well from the playmakers position, created gaps and set up tries and showed the crowd his sidesteps.

Lote Tuqiri and Sam Cordingley scored a try each for the Classic Wallabies.

The Fiji Legends had players like William Ryder, Lemeki Duidomo, Samu Saumaisue, Nasoni Roko, Emosi Vucago, Neumi Nanuku, Jonetani Vula and Viliame Satala.

The star studded Classic Wallabies included Fiji born Wallabies, Samu Kerevi, Radike Samo and Lote Tuqiri and recently retired Australian greats Stephen Moore and Rob Horne, as well as Wallaby capped Melbourne Rebels star Laurie Weeks.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Drua will take on Melbourne Rising at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park in the National Rugby Championship.
