Fiji Bati receives half a million dollars support for Rugby League World Cup preparations

Vodafone Fiji Bati's Rugby League World Cup preparations has been boosted through a donation of $500,000 from the Fiji National Sports Commission.

Fiji National Sports Commission Chairman Peter Mazey says they are proud to to sponsor the Fiji Bati for their preparation for the World Cup.

He says they hope the donation will further improve the teams performance in UK.

FNRL Chairman Viliame Naupoto says the donation will go towards the preparation of the World Cup team and also the payment of the Fiji Bati coach.

He says they are thankful for the continous support of the sports commission to the development of rugby league in the country.

The Rugby League World Cup will be held in the England from October 15 to November 19.
