Fiji Airways Men’s national 7s team captain Jerry Tuwai says the team is focusing on improving their communication in defence going into the next leg of the sevens series.

Tuwai says that this was one of their weak areas in Dubai and Cape Town 7s.

He believes that every team in the sevens series is now very competitive.

Tuwai has also wished everyone a Merry Christmas.

The Fiji team is expected to break camp today.

After the first two tournaments, Fiji is currently 3rd with 28 points, New Zealand is first with 41 points and South Africa is second with 39 points.

Fiji has a tough pool in the Sydney 7s where they are pooled with New Zealand, Samoa and Russia.

The Sydney 7s will be played from the 26th to the 28th of next month.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Rugby Union has received a truck from Carpenters Motors making this the sixth vehicle for FRU throughout their 4-year partnership.

Fiji Rugby Union CEO John O’Connor has thanked Carpenters Motors for being their vehicle partners and for supporting them in all their campaigns including the Rio Olympics last year.
