FRU launches campaign to get support for Fiji’s bid to host a tournament

The Fiji Rugby Union has launched a Social Media Campaign that will provide a chance for everyone to support and register for the “Fiji for 7s” bid in a creative way.

FRU CEO John O’Connor says that while the numbers for the bid are slowly increasing daily, there is still a need to reach the 100,000 mark in order to show World Rugby that all Fijians are in full support of the bid.

He has urged everyone to participate in the Social Media Campaign in order to show World Rugby that FRU has the support of the country and all Fijians around the world, to host a leg of the World Sevens Series here at home.

You can go to www.fijifor7s.com to join the bid.

The campaign can be followed on Facebook on “Fiji for 7s” and Fiji Rugby Twitter #fijifor7s, #fijirugby and Instagram “Fiji for 7s”.
