FIFA made a mighty blunder in congratulating Team Wellington on becoming the third New Zealand team to qualify for the Club World Cup.
They clinched a 10‑3 aggregate victory over Lautoka by winning the second leg 4‑3 at Churchill Park to win the OFC Champions League final yesterday, which confirmed their place among the world's elite of club football in December's tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
But FIFA's official Instagram account sent their congratulations to Team Wellington by sharing a photo of Kiwi rivals Auckland City lifting the trophy instead.
