FFA to take severe action on teams who pull out of the Pacific Cup

The Fiji Football Association has strongly stated that they will take severe action against teams which will pull out of the Pacific Cup Tournament next week.

Rewa and Ba soccer associations have told Fijivillage Sports that they will decide this weekend if they will participate in the sixty minutes format tournament.

Rewa soccer President, Nazil Buksh says seven of their players are committed with the Sukuna Bowl Challenge and other tournaments while Ba soccer boss, Rishi Kumar says Pacific Cup is not their priority and they will decide on their participation this weekend.

Labasa soccer association President, Rayaz Khan says they have issues with the tournament however they will play.

Fiji FA’s Acting President, Tarunesh Reddy says these teams do not have a right to pull out of the tournament as the tournament is part of the Fiji FA Calender.

He says the Fiji FA has selected these teams to represent Fiji in the Pacific Cup which will be held for the first time in Fiji.

Ba, Labasa, Rewa, Suva, Nadi and Lautoka have been selected to take part in the tournament which will kick off next Wednesday at Prince Charles Park.
