Australia coach Eddie Jones was both praised and criticised for his post match interview following the Wallabies 22-15 defeat to Fiji.

Fiji capitalised brilliantly on an ill-disciplined performance from Australia to grab their first win against them since 1954 and jump ahead of the Wallabies in the tightly contested Pool C.

Jones says it was a thoroughly deserved victory for Fiji who outplayed them.

He says they were just off today.

The Wallabies coach says they were a poor version of themselves, so there is a bit of soul searching to do.

He says it makes the Wales game pretty important.

Jones says if you look at the stats of the game, they dominated but they were a poor version of themselves.

Online the criticism has been brutal with one fan saying they’ve just seen the Eddie Jones interview and he just didn’t care.

Another says in other words Australia was rubbish and outplayed by the Flying Fijians while another commented that he’s deluded, and that Jones interview was embarrassing.
