The Fijian Drua Board has welcomed Wallabies World Cup winning player, highly respected rugby administrator and senior Finance executive Jeff Miller as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Miller succeeds Mark Evans, who completes his three-year term in December this year, and will return to the United Kingdom.

The club says Miller’s unmatched experience and leadership will guide the Drua into its next exciting phase of growth on and off the field.

They say Miller’s career achievements include serving as a World Cup–winning player and coach, Chief Executive Officer and President of Queensland Rugby Union, and senior executive at Rugby Australia.

The Drua says Miller was a tough flanker, who won 26 caps for the Wallabies, which include two Rugby World Cup appearances and he was a member of the 1991 Rugby World Cup winning Wallabies team captained by Nick Farr-Jones.

They say for his distinguished contribution to the sport, he was awarded the Joe French Medal and honoured with Life Membership of Queensland Rugby Union

The Drua say in parallel with his rugby leadership, Miller has held senior executive roles across the financial services sector, including CGO, State Manager, and General Manager positions with Investec, BOQ Specialist, Kooyong Group, and Avant Finance.

They say he has consistently demonstrated the ability to deliver strategic growth, organisational transformation, and operational excellence.

Fijian Drua Chairman Brent Impey says the appointment reflects the Board’s commitment to building a sustainable and high-performing organisation

Impey says Miller’s arrival marks an exciting chapter for the Fijian Drua as his rare combination of rugby achievements and corporate leadership gives him the credibility and expertise to take our young Club to even greater heights.

He says with Miller at the helm, the Drua is positioned not only to compete strongly in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific but also to build a sustainable, world-class sporting organisation for Fiji.

Miller says he looks forward to working with all stakeholders to deliver on the Drua’s vision as the Fijian Drua represents the heart and spirit of Fijian rugby.

He says he is honoured to take on this role and looks forward to working with the Board, management staff, players, and partners to strengthen the Drua’s foundations, deliver success for our loyal fans, and create pathways for future generations of Fijian talent.

The incoming CEO says in just four years, the Fijian Drua has created a brand that unites an entire nation and excites rugby fans the world over.

He says that he plans to build on this as they take the Club to greater success for Fiji.

He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of New South Wales. Miller will officially start in the new role on 7 January 2026.

The Drua open their 2026 season against Moana Pasifika on the 14th of February at Churchill Park.
