Fiji Airways Drua coach Senirusi Seruvakula says he would like to see Vodafone Fiji 7s rep and Olympic Gold medalist Kitione Taliga get fitter before he makes the match day 23.

Seruvakula says Taliga could be in the frame to play this week.

Taliga who was on a six‑month stint with Stade Français in France joined the Drua last week.

He could be a likely replacement if Peceli Nacebe is ruled out this week.

Nacebe was injured early in the first half of the Drua’s match against New South Wales Country Eagles.

There is no confirmation at this stage whether he will be available to play this week.

The Drua have 10 points after 3 games while the Greater Sydney Rams are second with 9 points and Canberra Vikings third with 8 points.

The Fiji Airways Drua will play Perth Spirit at 5pm next Saturday at the ANZ National Stadium.
