A red‑hot Dragons outfit defeated the Wests Tigers 28‑6 yesterday but face a nervous wait on the fitness of fullback Josh Dugan who left the field with a hamstring injury.

Dugan pulled up lame in the 60th minute clutching at a hamstring, forcing Kurt Mann to finish the game at fullback.

But it was the only headache for Dragons coach Paul McGregor on an afternoon that saw his captain Gareth Widdop produce a masterful 80 minutes of playmaking to create four of his team's five tries – including three in the first half for winger Jason Nightingale.

In another match, a Ryan Hoffman try with two minutes left on the clock sealed a 28‑22 victory for the Warriors over the Gold Coast Titans in Auckland.

Looking at the overall NRL points table, Melbourne Storm lead with 10 points, the Dragons move up to second place with 8 points while the Roosters sit in third place with 8 points but less on points differential.
