David Warner scored an international century in Australia's tense 41‑run Cricket World Cup victory over Pakistan this morning.

It was his first international century since serving a year‑long ban for his involvement in a ball‑tampering scandal.

Australia join New Zealand at the top of the points table with six points having played a game more than the Kiwis.

Australia will now face Sri Lanka at 9.30pm this Saturday while Pakistan will take on India 9.30pm this Sunday.

Meanwhile, India play New Zealand at 9.30 tonight.

The group stage format is a round robin, where all ten teams play each other once, in a single group.

This means a total of 45 matches will be played, with each team playing a total of nine matches.

The top four teams from the group will progress to the knockout stage.

New Zealand and Australia currently lead the points table, England are third while India come in fourth.

The final will be played on the 14th of July.
