Crusaders coach confident Read and Franks are fit for Super Rugby Final

Crusaders coach Scott Robertson is confident his No. 8 Kieran Read and prop Owen Franks will be fit to play in the final against the Lions in Johannesburg this Sunday.

Both Read and Franks left the field early in their side's semi‑final match against the Chiefs on Saturday night with knee and Achilles tendon problems.

The Crusaders defeated the Chiefs 27‑13 in Christchurch and will now face the Lions on Sunday morning at Ellis Park.

Robertson has the option of starting 10 international players in Sunday's Super Rugby final.

It has been nine years since they won a Super Rugby title.

The Super Rugby final will be at 2am Sunday.
