Flying Fijians captain Waisea Nayacalevu and coach Vern Cotter

The new players in the Vodafone Flying Fijians team jelled in well and were supported by the experienced players according to coach Vern Cotter and captain Waisea Nayacalevu.

5 players made their debut in the 36-0 win over Tonga yesterday with Vinaya Habosi and Kalaveti Ravouvou grabbing a try each in their first match for the Flying Fijians.

Other debutantes include Isoa Nasilasila, Seta Tamanivalu and Rusiate Nasove.

Cotter says it is pleasing that the whole squad was involved in the match.

He says this gives them more depth.

The Flying Fijians will now take on Australia A at 3.30pm next Saturday at Churchill Park.
