Concussions have prevented All Blacks Whitelock and Crotty, as well as Samu, from being named in the Crusaders side to face the Chiefs as the Super Rugby champions search for their 10th consecutive win on Saturday night.
Crusaders coach Scott Robertson has made a total of six positional changes to the side that will start against the Chief on Saturday.
The Crusaders will face the Chiefs at 7.35pm Saturday while the Highlanders take on the Hurricanes at 7.35pm tomorrow.
