Queensland and Australian rugby league great Petero Civoniceva has been named as 1 of the 46 NRL Ambassadors for 2017.
The Ambassadors will join NRL Clubs and the wider NRL community in supporting numerous community initiatives throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, all aimed at improving lives and educating communities on positive wellbeing.
The former Fiji Bati captain is one of the most respected players in NRL and runs his own The Petero Civoniceva Foundation.
Ruan Sims, the sister of Ashton, Tariq and Korbin Sims is also one of the Ambassadors.
Some of the players included are Darren Lockyer, Corey Parker and Justin Hodges.
