Emoni Narawa scored a try to help his Chiefs' side defeat the Reds 43-21 last night and also book their place in the semi finals of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.

The Reds had successive three victories over New Zealand opposition for the first time since 2013, including a watershed win over the defending champion Crusaders in Christchurch and a round-three defeat of the Chiefs in Brisbane, the Reds truly believed they were title contenders in 2024.

The Chiefs shattered the hopes within the first 15 minutes of the first half, last night when the Chiefs raced to a 21-0 lead through an early try-scoring double to hooker Samisoni Taukei'aho.

Chiefs fullback Shaun Stevenson set up the Chiefs' fourth try by Etene Nanai-Seturo.

The Reds regrouped in the second spell and scored their first try through co-captain and Wallabies scrum-half Tate McDermott.

All Blacks Anton Lienert-Brown crossed for the Chiefs for their fifth try in the 55th minute to extend the lead to 38-7.

McDermott scored his second try for the Reds but it was not enough for a comeback.

Meanwhile, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will take on the Blues at 7.05 tonight at Eden Park in Auckland.

In other quarter finals today, the Hurricanes will host the Rebels at 4.35pm and the Brumbies will play the Highlanders at 9.35pm.
