Chiefs confident Aaron Cruden will return to the side fighting fit

The Chiefs are confident that Aaron Cruden will return to the side fighting fit, having struggled to stay on the pitch during his ill-fated stint playing in France.

30-year-old Cruden, will next season return to the Chiefs on a one-year deal, having spent the past two seasons in France with Montpellier.

However, with Cruden's time in the Top 14 blighted by one injury after another, most notably with a troublesome calf, Chiefs chief executive Michael Collins told Stuff.Co that the side is happy to place their trust in Cruden's ability to stay fit.

Collins says they have spoken to Cruden and watched some of his games, and a couple of the injuries he did suffer in France were contact injuries and they always knew he was going to come right.
