Vodafone Fiji 7s team Interim head coach Nacanieli Cawanibuka is hopeful Fiji will be able to keep their winning momentum in the Dubai 7s this weekend.
Cawanibuka has been able to draw on an experienced core, with six of Fiji's Olympic gold medalists included in the 14‑man squad.
He says it has been good to retain six senior players and also the senior management staff in this transition period to keep the momentum from the last three years flowing.
Cawanibuka told RNZI people can still expect the free‑flowing, high‑risk, offloading game the Fijians bring to the park.
He says with this new set of players and new combinations they will try some new things in Dubai.
Fiji will play their first game against Canada at 7.52pm Friday and face Wales at 11.47pm.
