All Blacks openside flanker Sam Cane and centre Ryan Crotty who suffered concussions against the Wallabies last night are being monitored.

Coach Steve Hansen says if Cane is unavailable, Matt Todd will be called in and Jack Goodhue or Malakai Fekitoa could cover for Crotty.

Hansen also confirmed Owen Franks is unlikely to play in the Rugby Championship if his troublesome Achilles tendon requires surgery.

Meanwhile Wallabies Coach Michael Cheika was unhappy as All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick was not censured for a tip‑tackle on Ned Hanigan but Hansen was having none of that.

Hansen said when someone jumps on top of you, and you get up on your knees and he falls off, it's an accident.

Meanwhile South Africa defeated Argentina 41-23 this morning.

The Rugby Championship will take a break this week.
