Bromwich family history in Anzac clash

Bromwich family history in Anzac clash
Melbourne Storm New Zealanders Kenny Bromwich (L) and brother Jesse Bromwich.

The annual Anzac Day clash between the Melbourne Storm and Warriors is an emotionally‑charged event but it takes on personal significance for Kiwi captain and Storm leader Jesse Bromwich whose family was involved in World War II.

In times of tragedy, sport can feel trivial but it has also been an integral part of Australians and New Zealanders recovering from the devastation and fallout of such scarring periods.

In the ANZAC matches today the Storm will take on the Warriors at 8pm while the Roosters will meet the Dragons at 5pm.
