Blues Coach Leon MacDonald has made 7 changes to his starting line up team who will face the Brumbies tonight.

Loose forward Blake Gibson returns from a gruesome knee laceration which he suffered against the Waratahs during their round 8 super rugby match.

Gibson also takes over the captaincy role from Patrick Tuipuloto who will be starting from the bench today.

Matt Duffie comes in on the right wing to replace Reiko Ioane who takes his first designated All Blacks rest.

Sam Nock starts at halfback with Jonathan Ruru sitting this one out.

Leni Apisai gets his first start of the season at hooker after impressing off the bench against the Highlanders and Alex Hodgman starts on the loosehead side in a new‑look front row.

Blues Coach Leon MacDonald says that they have a number of players back from injury, while others who have been performing well have earned their chance to play again today.

The Blues will take on the Brumbies at 9.45pm tonight, the Hurricanes will face the Rebels at 5.15pm while the Highlanders will take on the Chiefs at 7.35pm.

The Bulls will host the Waratahs at 1.05am tomorrow while the Jaguares will take on the Stormers at 7.40am tomorrow.
