South Africa 7s team strongman Werner Kok says they will have a point to prove at the Cape Town Sevens following their disappointing start in Dubai.
He says it felt like they played for themselves in those opening matches and not for the team.
Another veteran in the squad, Branco du Preez, agrees with Kok’s assessment of what went wrong in Dubai.
He says they need to make better tackles than last week.
du Preez says they are expecting good support this weekend.
South Africa is pooled with New Zealand, Samoa and Zimbabwe.
New Zealand is the Cape Town 7s defending champion.
