After guiding Fiji to sevens gold at the Rio Olympics, Ben Ryan has been called in to support the coaching staff when the Vodafone Flying Fijians take on England on Sunday.
The Daily Mail report says that Ryan will join up with Vodafone Flying Fijians camp ahead of their test with Eddie Jones' England at Twickenham this weekend.
The English sevens maestro has been offered the chance by Fiji's coach, John McKee.
Ryan returned to London in August after three years in charge of the Fiji sevens team, which culminated in Fiji’s first‑ever Olympic medal with gold in the sevens tournament in Rio.
The 45‑year‑old was the coach of England sevens team between 2007 and 2013, but he will now work alongside McKee as Fiji bid to spring a surprise at Twickenham, where they lost 35‑11 in the opening game of last year's Rugby World Cup.
McKee told the Daily Mail that he has worked with Ryan before and he attended some of the sevens training sessions and was able to give some pointers and observations and he is sure Ben Ryan will be able to do the same.
Mckee says it's always good as a coach to have someone from the outside looking in.
Ryan will be reunited with Leone Nakarawa and Vatemo Ravouvou, who have switched from the sevens circuit since that Olympic success.
The Fiji 15's teams first game of their northern hemisphere tour ended with a crushing 40‑7 defeat to the Barbarians in Belfast, while England beat South Africa 37‑21 at Twickenham, for their first win over the Springboks in 10 years.
The Vodafone Flying Fijians will take on England at 3.30am this Sunday.
