Chiefs loose forward Sam Cane and Hurricanes flanker Ardie Savea will go head to head tonight in a much anticipated clash in Hamilton.
Chiefs Co‑captain Cane is back in the fold for his first appearance of 2017 since fully recovering from his ankle injury sustained while playing for the All Blacks in November last year.
Cane will come in and replace Mitchell Karpik and Lachlan Boshier who temporarily wore his number seven jersey in Rounds 1 and 2.
Meanwhile, Savea will also be one to watch as he played a pivotal role in the scoring of tries and succeeding of breakdowns in the Hurricanes last match where they thrashed the Rebels 71-6.
The Chiefs were kept try-less by a better Hurricanes side and were eventually beaten 25-9, the last time the two teams met.
The Chiefs play the Hurricanes at 6.35 tonight.
In other matches, the Brumbies take on the Western Force 8.45pm.
Tomorrow, the Crusaders will take on the Reds at 8.45pm,
the Sharks will face the Waratahs at 5.00am while the Blues will meet the Highlanders at 6.35pm.
