Vodafone Fiji Bati captain Kevin Naiqama says from today its back to the drawing board as they have a new challenge in Wales this Sunday.
Fiji recorded impressive statistics against USA on Saturday where they ran for a total of 1591 metres, 65 hit ups, 14 line breaks, 13 offloads and 210 tackles.
Naiqama says that having room for improvement was positive which keeps that complacency out.
Naiqama was one of Fiji’s best performers against USA where he ran for 159 metres and scored two tries.
Star winger Suliasi Vunivalu ran the most metres for the Bati which was 187 metres from 11 runs and he scored 2 tries.
Ashton Sims who led the forward pack in the absence of his brother, Korbin Sims says they want to put their defensive errors to rest and make sure they are firing for both Wales and Italy.
Meanwhile, Pio Sokobalavu who played for the Overseas Bati in the Battle of the Bati will be brought in to replace Korbin Sims who was unable to recover from the broken arm he suffered playing for the Broncos earlier this year.
Fiji will play their second pool match of the Rugby League World Cup against Wales at 9.30pm Sunday.
