Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team coach Gareth Baber says it was always his desire to develop as many leaders as he could within the playing group.
Baber says new captain, Kalione Nasoko has always been consistent in the two years he has been in the team.
He adds that if Paula Dranisinukula was not injured, he would have also been considered for captaincy.
He says this is a good opportunity to develop other leaders,
Fiji will take on Solomon Islands at 4.57pm Friday and they will then take on PNG at 8.06pm Friday.
The Oceania 7s will be held on Friday and Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
