Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach, Gareth Baber will await the team’s final medical assessment this afternoon to see if playmaker Waisea Nacuqu is fit to play in the Hamilton 7s this weekend.

Apete Daveta has already been ruled out for this weekend after suffering an injury from Sydney, Nacuqu is in doubt while Sevuloni Mocenacagi is fit to play.

This has been confirmed by Fiji 7s Manager Jone Niurua who says that the team has regrouped and are back at the gym this morning after arriving in New Zealand yesterday.

Niurua adds that they were welcomed by the Fijian community in New Zealand last night and are in good spirits ahead of this weekend.

Meanwhile, questions has already been sent to coach Gareth Baber regarding Fiji’s dismal performance last week and he is yet to comment.

Fiji will take on Wales in their first game at 10.36am Saturday, they will then face Spain at 2.02pm before taking on Australia at 5.50pm Saturday.

The medal quarterfinals will start at 10.36am Sunday, the semifinal will be at 2.49pm while the final will start at 6.03pm Sunday.
