Australian 7s team makes four changes ahead of Hong Kong

Australian 7s team makes four changes ahead of Hong Kong
Jesse Parahi scores a try

The Australian Sevens team will go to the Asia leg of the HSBC World Series in Hong Kong next week with four changes to the roster from Vancouver.

Jesse Parahi returns injury as well as Boyd Killingworth and John Porch who was injured during the Oceania 7s in Fiji.

Charlie Taylor also gets another opportunity to impress the coach after the league convert had a good showing in Sydney but missed out on the Las Vegas and Vancouver trip.

These changes for Hong Kong and Singapore add more experience, size and strength to the team while still retaining enough of the youth element, in the form of Anstee, McNamara and Anderson, who have excited fans in the Series so far.

Tom Lucas will again take the captaincy duties.

The Aussies are drawn in Pool A with England, Samoa and Korea which is the invitational 16th team for this leg of the series.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji 7s team will go through a training session with the Hong Kong 7s team.

Fiji will play their first game against Japan at 11.54pm next Friday, they will take on Wales at 5.12pm next Saturday while Fiji plays NZ in their final pool match at 9.12pm next Saturday.
