Antoine Griezmann’s La Liga debut for Barcelona did not go as planned after the defending champions suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Athletic Bilbao.
The former Atletico Madrid star looked quiet for most of the match.
38 year old Aritz Aduriz produced a breathtaking finish in the 89th minute to stun the La Liga giants on the opening day.
Missing the services of Lionel Messi, Barcelona looked sluggish for most of the match as Bilbao failed to capitalize on their earlier goal scoring opportunities.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid will play Celta Vigo at 3am tomorrow.
