Ardie Savea to get first start against Springboks
All Black flanker Ardie Savea will make his first start against the Springboks this Saturday

The All Blacks have made just two changes to take on the Springboks in Christchurch with Ardie Savea making his first start in place of the injured Sam Cane.

The 22‑year‑old will finally get his first run‑on test as Sam Cane is out with a hamstring injury.

Matt Todd also joins the match-day squad as loose forward cover.

Lima Sopoaga replaces Aaron Cruden who has a groin injury.

All Blacks Coach Steve Hansen says they are really looking forward to Saturday’s encounter and they respect the South Africans immensely.

He says the squad has been busy trying to rectify the issues that allowed Argentina to be so competitive for around 50 minutes at Waikato Stadium last weekend.

The All Blacks will play South Africa at 7.35pm Saturday while Australia will play Argentina at 10.05pm Saturday.

ALL BLACKS: Ben Smith, Israel Dagg, Malakai Fekitoa, Ryan Crotty, Julian Savea, Beauden Barrett, Aaron Smith, Kieran Read (captain), Ardie Savea, Jerome Kaino, Sam Whitelock, Brodie Retallick, Owen Franks, Dane Coles, Joe Moody.
