The All Blacks will play England in the first semi-final of the Rugby World Cup after the All Blacks outclassed Ireland 46-14 in their quarter-final match last night.

Aaron Smith scored two tries as the All Blacks were unstoppable into the first half.

The All Blacks led 22-0 at half-time.

The All Blacks haven't lost a World Cup game since a quarterfinal upset loss to France in 2007.

Beauden Barrett, Codie Taylor, Matt Todd, George Bridge, and Jordie Barrett scored the other tries for the All Blacks.

Man of the Match, Beauden Barrett also paid tribute to his late grandfather.

Meanwhile, in the first quarter-final, England thrashed Australia 40-16 in the quarter-final.

Marika Koroibete scored for Australia but it wasn't enough as England proved too strong in the end.

England led Australia 17-9 at the break.

This was England's seventh win in a row over the Wallabies since the 2015 World Cup.

England coach Eddie Jones had said after the match that he had a soft spot for New Zealand and he would love to play New Zealand.

Looking at the quarter-finals tonight, Wales takes on France at 7.15 while South Africa plays Japan at 10.15.
