The All Blacks will try and extend their perfect record against old rivals South Africa tonight.
With both first choice props Joe Moody and Owen Franks on the injured list, the All Blacks selectors surprised a few when they gave Kane Hames the number one jersey and retained 64‑test veteran Wyatt Crockett in his impact role off the bench.
The good news for All Blacks fans is the Springboks have prop injury troubles of their own, with Hames actually having double the caps of his opposite Ruan Dreyer.
The All Blacks and the Springboks last met in last year’s Rugby Championship where the Boks lost to the All Blacks 41‑13 in Christchurch before going down again 57-15 in Durban for their second Rugby Championship encounter.
The All Blacks will take on the Springboks at 7.35 tonight while the Wallabies will face Argentina at 10pm.
