Fiji Rugby Football Union Trust Board Interim Chairman Peter Mazey confirms that they have reached a satisfactory conclusion in regards to the increase of allowances for the Fiji Water Flying Fijian players.

Mazey says the Board has for some time been holding discussions with the Pacific Players Association, which represents the Flying Fijians players.

He says negotiations proceeded amicably and have reached a satisfactory conclusion accepted by all parties.

He adds as with all negotiations, they are confidential between the parties and an agreement was reached by both parties not to disclose the individual contracts or terms agreed on.

The Interim Chairman says they are now focusing on everyone working together to ensure the Fiji team has a successful campaign on the way and at the Rugby World Cup.

The Flying Fijians will kick off their Rugby World Cup preparations in the Pacific Nations Cup where they will take on Tonga at 12pm next Saturday at Churchill Park, Lautoka, they will then meet Samoa in Apia at 12pm on the 29th of July, and play Japan in Tokyo at 10.15pm on the 5th of August.

Fiji will play two warm up matches, first against France on the 20th of August, and England on the 27th of August.

The Rugby World Cup will be held from the 9th of September to the 29th of October in France.
