Adi Maopa Secondary School and Ratu Lalabalavu Secondary School crowned champions at the Maritime Zone

Adi Maopa Secondary School and Ratu Lalabalavu Secondary School have been crowned the boys’ and the girls’ division winners respectively at the Coca-Cola Maritime Zone that was held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

In the boys’ division, Adi Maopa collected 12 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze followed by Gau Secondary School with 9 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze while Ratu Finau Secondary School finished third with 6 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze.

In the girls’ division, Ratu Lalabalavu Secondary won 8 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze, Gau Secondary also finished second with 5 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze while Adi Maopa came in third place with 3 gold and 3 silver.

A total of 100 athletes from 7 Secondary Schools in the Maritime Islands participated in the Maritime Zone competition yesterday.

Ratu Lalabalavu Secondary School in Malolo, Yasawa brought a total of 40 athletes to participate in the upcoming Coca-Cola games.

Gau Secondary School which is located in the village of Nawaikama on the island of Gau in the province of Lomaiviti brought 22 athletes while Adi Maopa Secondary School located in the village of Lomaloma in Vanuabalavu, Lau came with 15 athletes.

Ratu Finau Secondary School located in the village of Tubou, Lakeba in Lau brought a total of 12 athletes, Rotuma Secondary School with 8 athletes and Koro High School in the province of Lomaiviti brought 3 athletes.

The 2024 Coca-Cola Games will be held from this Thursday to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium.
