Atunaisa Batikado, Savenaca Akuino, and Jone Baikeibau have been selected from the Vacalea Rugby team to be part of the Australia–Fijian team that will also participate in the McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s.

Vacalea team manager Jone Toga says the three players have shown outstanding talent and skills in the Fiji Sports Council Grassroots 7s competition.

Toga says the main purpose of forming the Vacalea team is to uplift the standard of rugby in Kadavu, and this year, players from other provinces have also joined the team.

He adds that the team will return to camp on Sunday as they prepare for the Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s on the 8th and 9th of January.
