Three of Australia’s Super Rugby coaches are calling for assistance as Australian Super Rugby teams continue a horrible season.
Australia’s five Super Rugby teams have only collected 11 wins out of 47 matches between them so far this season and only three of those have come against foreign opposition.
Queensland Reds coach Nick Stiles, Tony McGahan of the Melbourne Rebels and Waratahs coach Daryl Gibson all told The Australian newspaper that they backed the idea of roping in the coaches who helped define Australian rugby to help out.
The Super Rugby coaches have already planned a get‑together with Wallabies coach Michael Cheika, Rod Macqueen, Bob Dwyer, Alan Jones and John Connolly.
In Super Rugby matches this week, the Blues meet the Cheetahs at 7.35pm Friday, the Lions clash with the Brumbies at 9.45pm Friday, the Crusaders meet the Hurricanes at 7.35pm Saturday and the Bulls meet the Highlanders at 1.05am Sunday.
