The 2016 Courts IDC kicks off with Nadroga holding star-stud Lautoka side 1-1 at the ANZ Stadium.
Lautoka made a dream start when Shameel Rao opened the account just in the 2nd minute.
The Blues applied tremendous pressure after that goal but the lack of finishing from star striker Valerio Nawatu could not increase the lead.
Lautoka with one of the best strike force of the tournament with the likes of Samuela Drudru, Jone Vono Junior and Nawatu are kept on bay by Nadroga goalkeeper Pranesh Prasad and defender Krishneel Dutt.
Nadroga equalised through Jitendra Kumar in the 24th minute after a well-timed counter attack.
Nadroga coach Waisea Tale:
“We want to win, we are here for a win, we came here for a purpose, we worked hard for the past 3 weeks. We looking forward for our next match and the new players have blended in well in the team.”
The match starting now is between defending champions Ba and Rewa.
Nadi will take on Dreketi at 5.30pm and the final match of the day will see hosts Suva taking on Labasa at 7.30pm.
