A total of 16 affiliated National Sporting Federations have confirmed their participation in this year's Fiji Games scheduled to begin today.
19 athletes will be traveling from Levuka to participate at the Power lifting event which will begin on Saturday.
With games to continue throughout the weekend, teams reaching the final stages of competition will receive medals.
Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Squash, Judo and Table Tennis will begin today at different venues around Suva.
Athletics and Para Athletics will begin tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium.
This year's Fiji Games will provide a good platform for the National Federation to select potential athletes for next year's Pacific Games, as well as other regional and International competitions.
The Fiji Games will end this Sunday.
