14-year-old Grace Khelan has won gold in the 50 metres freestyle for her age group at the New Zealand Age Group Swimming Championships.

Khelan's win was special as it coincided with her father's birthday, while her older sister Faith won in the J19 500 metres sprints at the Wai Tui International over the weekend.

Also qualifying for the finals tonight are Jemesa Younger and Thaddeus Kwong.

Fiji Swimming says they are also incredibly proud of all their swimmers and would also like to thank the Fiji National Sports Commission and FASANOC for their continued support.

They say a special thank you to their Performance Coach and the Fiji Aquatics coaches for all their dedication and hard work.
