Cameron Smith has become the first player in the history of the NRL to kick 1,000 premiership goals.

The Storm skipper’s kick accuracy is an outstanding 74 percent.

Smith says he is grateful that he has been able to play for so long, in a successful organisation, with great players who gave him the opportunity to kick goals.

Smith is also the highest scoring forward in NRL history with his 2,163 career points.

He will lead Melbourne Storm in the NRL grand final against the Cowboys at 8.15pm Sunday.
