After all the hype and build‑up, the Rugby League World Cup finally kicks off at 9 tonight with a match‑up of two teams that plenty are tipping to meet again in the final.
Co‑host nation and defending Champions Australia are heavy favourites to take out the tournament but Wayne Bennett's England team is one of the strongest to visit the shores in recent memory, with in‑form playmakers, powerful forwards and some dangerous backs.
It is now 22 years since an English team has beaten Australia, with 11 straight Test losses against the Kangaroos since 1995.
However Great Britain did take a game off the Aussies last time they played a tournament – the 2006 Tri‑Nations.
As we shift our focus to the Vodafone Fiji Bati, one more sleep and they are on.
Bati Media Manager Petero Civoniceva says there is a lot of excitement in camp and they cannot wait to play USA tomorrow.
He adds the team is focused and ready.
Meanwhile the tournament is set to unearth some of the young Bati players on the world stage that will springboard them into the next decade of dominance in the NRL.
It includes Suliasi Vunivalu who only made his international debut for Fiji in June while another youngster Jacob Saifiti has been rated highly by Civoniceva.
Saifiti will be coming off the bench when the Fiji Bati takes on USA at 9.40pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile the Australian Kangaroos will take on England at 9 tonight.
