Exciting news as Thomas Dunn will return to Extra Bula FC for the 2027 OFC Professional League season after helping the club finish third in the regular season and reach the Top Four playoffs in its inaugural campaign.
Dunn says his first season in professional football helped improve his awareness of the game and deepen his understanding of football.
He says he is looking forward to gaining more experience and making a greater contribution to the club next season.
Dunn also enjoyed success on the international stage, scoring the winning goal against Vanuatu in the 2026 MSG Prime Minister’s Cup final to help Fiji win the title after more than 20 years.
He says winning a title for his country was a special moment and something he had always dreamed of achieving.
Dunn says learning from experienced players, particularly Extra Bula FC and Fiji captain Roy Krishna, has helped him develop as a player and as a person, both on and off the field.
He says becoming a professional footballer was a long-held ambition and he is grateful to Extra Bula FC for giving him the opportunity to represent the club.
Dunn says his goals for the 2027 season are to improve on his performances from last season and score more goals.
He also acknowledged the support of his family, partner and daughter, saying being away from them is the biggest challenge of playing professional football.
Dunn says he makes the most of his breaks by spending time with his family.
He also expresses gratitude to the Bula Tribe for supporting the club throughout its inaugural season, saying the first season was only the beginning.
