Keni Salawai, who is charged with drinking and assaulting a police officer, has not been granted bail after he failed to bring two sureties required by the court.
Salawai appeared before Magistrate Sufia Hamza, where he made an application for his bail.
He is charged with one count each of drinking in a public place, serious assault, damaging property and criminal intimidation.
It is alleged that Salawai assaulted a police officer, damaged police uniforms, and verbally abused and threatened officers.
The matter was called at 2.30pm today for the court to consider his bail application. However, following his failure to produce the two sureties, it has been adjourned to November 23rd.
