FIJI Water Flying Fijians Head Coach Jake White says he is disappointed with his side's performance in their 54-17 loss to France this morning, as he expected the team to remain competitive for longer.
Speaking during the post-match interview, White says Fiji started well and looked capable of challenging France, but costly mistakes allowed the hosts to take control.
He says making mistakes against a team like France is costly because they are quick to punish their opponents.

When asked whether the late change at fly-half affected the team's performance, White says Fijian players are used to adapting to difficult situations.
He says Fiji rarely play at home, many of the players are based overseas, and the team does not spend long periods together.
White says he does not believe the late change was responsible for the defeat, as mistakes were made across the field.
He adds that France were outstanding, particularly early in the match, and the strong support from the home crowd made the challenge even tougher for Fiji.
The Flying Fijians will play Ireland at Aviva Stadium at 8.10am Sunday.
