Being one of the youngest athletes has motivated Younis Bese to do well in the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The 18-year-old Gospel High School student said she has done the hard yards in training and is looking forward to competing with some of the best athletes in the world.

Apart from being motivated to do well in the games Bese has set her sight to try to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio and gain international exposure.

Bese will compete in the women’s 100 and 200 metres.

The Fiji Athletics team for the Commonwealth Games will leave for Glasgow next Monday. The Commonwealth Games starts next Wednesday in Scotland.
