Police have taken the victim’s statement and conducted a medical examination as investigations continue into the conduct of officers involved in an arrest in Lautoka.
The investigation follows a video circulating on social media showing a young man being slapped by a police officer during the arrest.
Police say statements from other identified witnesses will be recorded soon.
No one has been charged yet.
