The Nadi rugby side is expecting a physical encounter when they meet Nadroga in the Skipper Cup final this weekend.
Nadi have been one of the teams to beat this season, having won 11 matches, drawn one and lost one.
They will be up against rugby giants Nadroga, who have been a familiar force in local rugby competitions over the years.
Nadi captain and former Swire Shipping Fijian Drua captain Ratu Meli Derenalagi says Nadroga will provide a different challenge altogether, but his team will need to be at their best if they want to lift the title.
He acknowledges the support of fans and villagers who have stood by the team throughout the season.
Derenalagi says the support from the people has given the players extra motivation to defend their turf and secure a place in the championship decider.
While the team is pleased to have reached the final, Derenalagi says they are not looking too far ahead.
He says the players will celebrate their victory, review their performance and then focus on addressing their weaknesses while building on their strengths ahead of Saturday's final.
Nadi will face Nadroga at 3pm this Saturday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
Meanwhile, Nadi will take on Nadroga at 11am in the U20 final, while Namosi will meet Nasinu at 9am.
