A member of the public, who was junior to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka during their secondary school days at Queen Victoria School, has told Rabuka that he caused the most damage to the military when he went about his merry ways.

While reading an open letter addressed to the Prime Minister during the Parliamentary Joint Special Committee's consultation on the Constitution (Amendment) Bill at the Somosomo Provincial Hall in Taveuni, Penisoni Gauna told Rabuka to reflect on the great Fijian men who served in the wars in Solomons and Malaya, as well as the leaders and high chiefs whose careers were shaped by the military.

He says all of that was destroyed when Rabuka carried out the coup.

Gauna says there is now a new man at the military camp who is cleaning up the mess.

He says RFMF Commander Ro Jone Kalouniwai needs everyone's support as he works to take the RFMF in a new direction.

Gauna also reminded Rabuka of his days at QVS and an occasion when Rabuka waved a piece of paper in front of the press and called it "Peace in Our Time".

He says everyone knew the outcome of that agreement and that there was no peace.

He also reminded Rabuka of how he dealt with two senior students who were bullying juniors during their school days and asked what had happened to the just and noble head boy they once knew.
