A truck driver has been arrested after police discovered a bag containing parcels of dried leaves and branches believed to be marijuana during a raid at Narain Jetty.
Police say the raid was conducted last Friday night by a team from Totogo Operations, the Dog Unit and the Fiji Detector Dog Unit.
During the operation, K9 Herb indicated the possible presence of illicit drugs on a truck.
A subsequent search led to the discovery of a bag containing the suspected drugs.
The driver was arrested and taken into custody.
Police say the seized substances have been sent for testing as investigations continue.
